Nagaland Empowerment of the People through Energy Development(NEPeD) and INR, Green Energy organised the programme at Keniong village,Ranikor block ,South West Khasi Hills District

Objectives:
The NEPeD teams and the FA(Green Energy-MINR):- Conducted a hydroger installation & training to the local operators for O&M of the Pico-turbine, Penstock, Power House; where the ELC, damp load needs tobe adjusted for steady flow of the output power,wire connection and transmissions( streets lighting and domestic load), it is therefore ,essential to organise a training programme and educate the local operators from Keniong for smooth functioning,maintenance and operations of the Hydroger,thus, benefits and enhance quality of life by providing electricity to households, water lifting for drinking and irrigation facilities to the local residents.

Participants: NEPeD Team, Green Energy – INR Team ; VECs Keniong; ; Mawten -2 (Operators); Jerlang – 1 (operator); Pamdaba – 1 (operator); Langpa – 1 (operator); Shaid Shaid Umiod – 2 (Operators)

Outcome: The Power generated from the Pico-Turbine Hydro Generator is being used for Community Hall Lighting & • Street Lighting
